Did you know that you can set your mower for Minimizing Horsepower Requirements which will increase fuel efficiency or you can set it to mulch the cut material more? 1) Forward Pitch: By Adjusting the Forward to Rear Tilt of your mower 3/4" lower in the front to reduce the horsepower required. This will allow the blades to cut in the forward half of rotation and then get relief in the rear half of the rotation. Thus requiring less horsepower and less fuel to operate. 2) Rearward Pitch: By Adjusting the forward to reverse pitch 3/4" higher in the front will require more horsepower but increases the mulching of the material. The Blades will always be cutting and actually cut higher in the front and again cut 3/4" in the rear half of the rotation. Thus double cutting the material and increases the mulching of the crop. Your tractor will need to be able to produce enough horsepower as it will increase the horsepower requirements to operate the more. Not all tractors will have the ability to perform mulching of the material being cut.
